Made using Chromexcel from Horween. "Chromexcel", which is manufactured for uppers such as work boots by Horween, Inc. in the United States, is currently manufactured in 10 colors, but this is made in Blue. The natural color makes it an excellent match for antique watches.
With a natural hue, it is an excellent match for antique watches. You won't see this color often. Very beautiful blue - green color matches silver dial.
Chromexcel is cow leather and is a combination of chrome and tannins. By including 4 kinds of fats and oils in abundance, it has both robustness and flexibility. It feels a little different from other cowhide. The more you use it, the deeper the taste comes out. One of the features of this Chromexcel is "color changing". Pinch and bend to change the color lightly. If you put it back on its surface and blend it into the surface, the color will return to its original shape. When I put it on my arm, it shows a light and shade and it is very cool.
Although it is a flat belt with a slight thickness, it is very flexible and comfortable to wear. Luxurious "Musou" tailoring using the same material for the lining. You can enjoy the texture of solid leather. It's a great atmosphere, so it's one you should definitely try.

I ordered La Perla Azzura Alaska (dark brown) , Japanese cowhide (black) and Horween chromexcel (blue) leather straps. All our excellent quality. My favorite so far is is the Japanese cowhide because of its versatility on dress and sports watches. 've yet to 'break in' the Alaska strap to get the patina and sheen but it looks good on vintage watch specially with aged dial. The blue Horween looks good with white, silver and even cream as the stitching is off white. My only gripe is how I wish the straps come in short sizes as I have small wrist. Shipping from Japan is fast, even faster than our local post office.
