The horse leather is manufactured by MARYAM in the Santa Croce sull'Arno region of Tuscany, Italy.
This leather is made from the horse's butt, a part of the horse with high fiber density, and is tanned with vegetable tannins and then oiled. The calm look of this leather changes to a more tasteful color the more it is used. It is left uncut and has not been finished with wax or other methods so that you can enjoy the aging process.

■What is "BUTT"?
This leather is made from the horse's buttocks, which have a high fiber density, and is tanned with vegetable tannins, dyed brown as a base, and then painted with black pigment on the surface. It is vegetable tanned and made using the Vacchetta method, so it is well-oiled and has a gentle texture that is characteristic of horse leather.

◆Stitching
The stitching is done in antique style sinew thread and is available in your choice of honey, black or brown.
Sinew thread was originally made from the tendons of deer and other animals, but is now made by bundling thin fibers such as nylon into a single thread. As you use it, the color will fade and it will become whitish. Sinew thread is characterized by its natural color.
